About
Built by someone who's been audited.
CheckpointQA is the work of Gareth Bewley — a CQI Practitioner and BSI ISO 9001 Lead Auditor. It grew out of a simple frustration: the tools small quality teams could afford didn't take evidence seriously, and the tools that did were priced for enterprises.

Evidence first
A record that can't withstand scrutiny isn't a record. Everything is built so the proof is there when it's asked for.
Opinionated, on purpose
Locked schemas and sensible defaults over infinite configurability — because a small team needs structure, not a blank canvas and a 10-month project.
Honest by default
Published prices, precise claims, and gaps worked openly. If we can't defend it to an auditor, we don't say it.
What CheckpointQA is
- An audit-ready eQMS for small UK teams
- Structured around ISO 9001, with the evidence built in
- Transparent on price, method and limitations
What it isn't
- A way to "become certified" without an audit
- A 500-site enterprise suite
- A tool with a roster of customers to show — yet
Proof & evidence
How to judge a young product honestly.
We're early. You won't find a wall of customer logos or five-star quotes here, because we don't have a roster of case studies yet — and we won't manufacture one. For a quality professional, that would be the first red flag. So here is what you can verify for yourself, right now.
1 · The working product
The strongest evidence is the software itself. Open the live demo, raise a nonconformance, approve a document, run an audit — and see whether it does what we say.
2 · The evidence architecture
Look at how the audit trail actually works: append-only, hash-chained, digested daily, verifiable. It's the mechanism behind "every record is evidence" — not a slogan.
3 · A named quality professional
This wasn't designed by a generic product team. It was built by a working CQI Practitioner and BSI ISO 9001 Lead Auditor who has sat on both sides of an audit.
4 · Transparent methodology
Locked ISO 10013 document schemas, ISO 19011 audit method, ISO 17021-1 finding classification. The method is visible and inspectable, not a black box.
Turn "early" into an advantage
Become a design partner
We're working with a small number of UK SMEs heading for or holding ISO 9001. You get direct influence over the roadmap and preferential terms; we get honest feedback and, in time, a reference. A fair, transparent exchange — not a favour.
-
You give
Candid feedback, and — if it earns it — a reference.
-
You get
Roadmap influence, preferential terms, direct founder access.
What we'll never do
If a persuasion tactic would look out of place inside an audit, it has no place on this site.
- Invent testimonials, logos or user counts
- Fake urgency, countdowns or scarcity
- Overclaim certification or compliance
- Hidden costs or roach-motel cancellation
